The Sheepfold in the Stars PART 4: The Bride

Written by: J.C.

Hey there, everyone!

Welcome to Part 4 of the Sheepfold in the Stars series!  Today’s topic is the Bride constellation, which will bring my series to completion.  I am excited to present the Bride, as I feel this constellation plays a significant part in the prophetic story revealed through the stars.

The Hebrew Name: Shadir (שדר)

I call this constellation by the English name ‘Bride.’  It could also be titled ‘The Queen.’

When I study the Hebrew names of the stars, I often discover more than one testimony.  When I do, I feel confident with the Hebrew name.  In the case of the Bride, I found one source.  The Hebrew word makes sense to me in light of other things I have studied about this constellation.

It is likely that the Hebrew name for the Bride comes from the word shadir (שדיר), meaning to labor, struggle, or strive.  It is closely related to the feminine noun sadera (שדרה), meaning a row or rank (of soldiers).

This Hebrew name speaks of a group of set-apart people who strive to be righteous.  They are the ones who labor for the Kingdom of Elohim.  In the stars, we have a picture representing the over-comers, those who endure to the end, the people who will become the Bride of Messiah!

The ancient Arabic name of this constellation is Ruchba, meaning the enthroned.  This title contributes to the picture of a woman of royalty.

Special Stars in the Constellation: Secha Dar (שחה דר) and Kaf (כף)

Secha translates as to bow down or prostrate (one’s self); dar means white or pearl white.  The first is associated with humbleness and submission.  The second is associated with beauty and purity.  These words contribute to the meaning of a humble bride, adorned with beauty, and dressed in white.

Kaf translates hand, palm, sole, or hollow, as in the curved part of the palm or the hollow part of a rock.

With Her King in Heaven

The Bride’s location in the Heavens region of the sky is very telling.  This constellation is positioned next to another constellation, the King.  The Bride is a picture of the King’s wife.  Who does this king represent?  Yahushua is our King!  Therefore, we see Yahushua and His Bride together in the Heavens!  Halleluyah!

Made Like Him

When I look at the Bride constellation, the first thing I see is a “W” shape.  To me, this shape does not represent a clear picture of a Bride.  A friend shared a neat perspective with me.  She said that the Bride looks like the Little Dipper.

The Little Dipper represents Yahushua!  Why might the Bride constellation be similar in shape to the Little Dipper?  Perhaps it is because Yahushua’s Bride will be made like Him!

1 John 3:2  “Beloved ones, now we are children of Elohim. And it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.”

1 John 3:3  “And everyone having this expectation in Him cleanses himself, as He is clean.”

John taught a transformation will take place when the Messiah is revealed.  Obviously, Yahushua has revealed Himself to many, including John.  However, John spoke of a future revelation of Messiah, when His people will be made like Him.

Though we strive to be like Him, none of us are in a state of perfection now; we all have sin.  The good news is everyone having hope in the Messiah will be cleansed.

Summary of This Series—the Arc of Five

As I recount the constellations in the Arc of Five, we will see how they come together to tell a prophetic story!

  1. The Sheepfold

The Sheepfold represents a gathering place for YHWH’s people in the End Days.  Its Hebrew name is Botsrah.  Micah 2:12 prophesied that YHWH’s people will gather in a sheepfold “like the sheep of Botsrah.”  The Sheepfold has a narrow gate with open doors.  Yahushua also prophesied in John 10 that His people would be gathered in a sheepfold.  He will enter through the door of the sheepfold as the Shepherd and call His sheep by name.

  1. The Twins

The Twins’ Hebrew name is Tamim.  It is a picture of two companions.  The one on the left represents Yahushua, who is guiding the other.  The figure on the right is a picture of the lame and weak.  YHWH will gather the lame in the End Days (Zeph. 3:18-20).  The Twins are seen heading toward the Sheepfold.

Further, the Twins represent the Messiah and His Bride.  In Hosea two, the ‘woman’, whom YHWH will lead to the wilderness place, becomes part of the Bride of Messiah.  The Twins are a picture of the Bride coming from the wilderness place “leaning on her beloved.” (Songs of Songs 8:5)

  1. The Good Shepherd

The Good Shepherd’s Hebrew name is Araga, which demonstrates its gentle and comforting attributes.  This constellation represents a shepherd holding a lamb in his bosom (Isa. 40:11).

In Scripture, YHWH is likened to a shepherd and His people to sheep.  Many prophets foretold YHWH gathering His people in the End Days as a shepherd gathering his sheep.  Yahushua said, “I am the Good Shepherd.”

  1. The Breaker

The Breaker runs a special path in the sky, traveling back and forth between Heaven and Earth on the Milky Way.  This constellation represents the Messiah coming to deliver with a mighty right hand and an outstretched arm!

The Hebrew name of the constellation is Perets, the One who breaks forth.  In the End Days, the Breaker (Yahushua) will physically come to lead His people out of the sheepfold.  He will manifest as their Shepherd and King!   This prophecy is given both in Micah 2:13 and in John 10:1-4, agreeing with the witness of the stars.

  1. The Bride

The Bride constellation depicts the Bride of Messiah who will make a covenant with Yahushua in a wilderness place.

Hosea 2:19 “And I shall take you as a bride unto Me forever, and take you as a bride unto Me in righteousness, and in right-ruling, and loving-commitment and compassion.”

Hosea 2:20 “And I shall take you as a bride unto Me in trustworthiness, and you shall know יהוה.”

The Bride is a group of people who will be spared from the wrath of Satan during the Great Tribulation on Earth.  She will flee to “a place prepared” for her by Elohim.

Revelation 12:6 “And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by Elohim, to be nourished there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.”

Revelation 12:14 “And the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, to fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.”

The Bride constellation is located in the Heavens region of the sky.  Perhaps the prepared place for the Bride is located in Heaven!

After the Bride gathers in the sheepfold and after Yahushua leads her out, the Bride will transported to a place of nourishment and protection.

The Bride represents the wife of the Lamb.  She will prepare herself for the marriage supper of the Lamb.

Revelation 19:7 “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him praise, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife prepared herself.”

Revelation 19:8 “And to her it was given to be dressed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteousnesses of the set-apart ones.”

When we put it all together, the Arc of Five tells quite a story!  From gathering in the Sheepfold to becoming the Bride of Messiah, the pictures in the sky are full of knowledge about our salvation in the End Days.

These constellations are truly a blessing.  I love discovering fresh insights by studying the stars in connection with Scripture.

I hope that this study was a blessing to you too!
