The Fall of Babylon

Note to Reader: In this teaching, YHWH is used to refer to the LORD God, Creator. And Yahushua is used for His Son, who is the LORD God manifested in the flesh, as Messiah and Savior. Unless otherwise stated, all Scripture references are taken from the 2009 version of The Scriptures by the Institute for Scripture Research.

Isaiah 48:20 Come out of Babel! Flee from the Kasdim! Declare this with a voice of singing, proclaim it, send it out to the end of the earth! Say, “YHWH has redeemed His servant Ya’aqob!”

A few weeks ago, Isaiah 48:20 stood out to me. When I read this verse, I felt a stirring to announce what will occur concerning Babylon. Isaiah says to flee from Babylon, but it also says to declare it with a voice of song. This is a joyful message because YHWH will redeem His people in the days of the Fall of Babylon. The Scriptures give two simple commands regarding Babylon as it relates to the End Days: to COME OUT OF HER and to FLEE!

I realize that there are many opinions and teachings about what Babylon was, is, and will be. Is it a spirit or a nation? How do the prophecies concerning Babylon apply today? Is the command to come out of Babylon spiritual, literal, or both? And when do we apply this command?

This teaching attempts to bring clarification and truth on the fulfillment of End Days Babylon, which exists today. The focus of this teaching is not an in-depth study of the historical empire(s) of Babylon, although some of this is mentioned. Rather, it focuses on how Babylon manifests itself in the End Days and how this empire will fall.

In this teaching, we will examine the following points:

The nation most likely to be End Days Babylon
The ways End Days Babylon will fall and be destroyed
The role of End Days Media to destroy Babylon
The timing of the Ingathering related to the Fall of Babylon
The command to flee Babylon and the reward of End Days salvation

As you read through this teaching, please keep in mind that the instructions to flee from Babylon are from a loving Father who will save His children in the End Days.

The Nation Most Likely to Be End Days Babylon

Jeremiah chapters 50 and 51 and Revelation chapters 17 and 18 are prophesying a nation called Babylon which will fall in the Last Days. A growing number of people are aware of this truth. I propose that only one nation comes close to the description that prophecy gives us of End Days Babylon: The United States. Let’s make some connections between End Days Babylon and the United States.

In this study, please take the time to look up the verse references listed below. Many of them speak for themselves. I have added some thoughts, but everyone studying this topic will have more ideas regarding these prophecies.

Babylon is a land of many carved images of which she boasts (Jer. 50:2, 50:38, 51:47). As seen in Scripture, one type of idolatry is to make false gods and idols by carving them in wood or stone. This was prohibited in the Ten Commandments (Ex. 20:4). YHWH hates any provocation against Him; we are not to make monuments that compete with Him as the one true Elohim. End Times Babylon is prophesied to be a very idolatrous nation—both in carved images and other forms of false worship. Many carved images have been erected throughout the United States as monuments in which Americans take pride, resulting in false worship. Examples of monuments include the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Marine Corps War Memorial in Arlington, Virginia, and a more recent example, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. In addition, every Roman Catholic Church, cemeteries, and many other places of worship are full of carved images and statues. Many of them are considered reverent and used for prayer or worship. Popular athletes are also idolized throughout the U.S. by large statues that have been erected in front of sports arenas. By visiting these sites, Americans and others endorse them and keep the spirit for which they were made alive. Statues and carved images are found throughout the entire world, but the U.S. certainly fits this description.

End Time Babylon is a nation that ‘sits’ on many waters (Jer. 51:13, Rev. 17:1, 17:15). If this description is taken literally, this means End Time Babylon must be a nation that is surrounded by water. The United States is sandwiched between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans—two vast bodies of water. Other countries are surrounded by water, but Revelation 17:15 shows that the ‘waters’ on which Babylon dwells are also a parable. The waters represent all the nations, peoples, and tongues that have become associated with Babylon (see Rev. 17:15). I believe this means that Babylon has influenced many different peoples, nations, and languages. The U.S. fits this description, which brings me to my next point.

Babylon is a nation that hosts many ‘mixed peoples’ (Jer. 50:37, Rev. 17:15). The nations flow to her (Jer. 51:44). From the conception of the U.S., many people have immigrated there seeking a better life. Most Americans can trace their ancestry to know from what country their family came. Even today, whether a good or bad thing, the United States opens its borders to many people. Scripture indicates that the nations stream to Babylon. A clear picture of people streaming to the U.S. is news footage of the Mexico-United States border. The U.S.A. undoubtedly is the biggest mixing pot of all kinds of people. If you were born in the U.S. and have not lived in another country, you likely have not considered how different the U.S. is in this regard. What defines someone as an American has nothing to do with looks or lineage. The U.S. allows all people to apply for citizenship and become Americans with equal privileges. This is not true of most countries.

Babylon is the Great Whore that has committed whoring with all the kings of the Earth (Rev. 17:1-2, 17:5, 18:3). Nations have drunk her mixed wine and went mad (Jer. 51:7). Babylon being the Great Whore is a reference to her adulterous and sinful ways. Revelation 17:4 says that she is “holding in her hand a golden cup filled with abominations and the filthiness of her whoring.” An honest Bible reader knows that the United States is filled with abominations and has propagated them around the world. Several of her abominations include abortion and other murderous acts, genetic modification (destroying and/or mixing the God-given genetic code of humans, animals, and plants), the gay and lesbian agenda, technology built for evil intentions (e.g. Bill Gates’ agenda), fornication as a normal part of life, the pharmaceutical industry, and weather manipulation. The United States has boasted of her ‘moral superiority’ making her acts the standard for which many other countries are judged. So, abortion has become accepted by other countries, trans-genderism is also becoming accepted, etc.

Additionally, the United States, being a mixed people, has become a mix of world religions that are far from the Truth standard of the Scriptures. Even Christianity, which is considered the dominant religion, is a mix of false religious ideas. One of the main problems with this religion, which has been spread around the world by missionaries, is that it does not teach to follow all of the Torah of YHWH. The large majority of Christians are taught that YHWH’s laws were done away with and Yahushua taught against the Torah. This is not true and it results in lawlessness and a denial of any consequences for sin. We are supposed to walk in the commandments of Elohim. According to Deuteronomy 13:1-5, we are NOT supposed to follow any prophet or teacher leading people away from YHWH’s commands. We are supposed to guard His statues. Anyone teaching that Yahushua nullified His Father’s Law (which is the same as the Law Moses), or that the Law is no longer applicable to our lives today, will be called ‘least’ in the Kingdom of Heaven (see Matt. 5:17-19)! The Scriptures describe sin as the absence of YHWH’s Law (1 John 3:4). Disregarding the Law of Elohim is a deep-rooted issue in the false religion of Christianity. This too is an abomination in which the United States has participated. It is hard to imagine another country that has spread more abominations around the world.

Babylon is a nation of drug sorcery and has led the nations astray through drugs (Rev. 18:23). America has been the main country that has influenced the world through the pharmaceutical industry. It has been the main driver behind the mass ‘Covid’ injection agenda as well. Its government is one of the strongest when it comes to injecting the masses with ‘vaccines.’ The U.S.A. has funded much of the research to develop mRNA injections. It has funded poorer countries by sending millions of doses of injections. Most of the Big Pharma companies, which became rich from the mass injection agenda, are companies that were founded in the U.S. Among these are Johnson and Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer. Other countries have of course heavily participated in the pharmaceutical industry, but the U.S. has surely been the most influential and is behind starting it. We are seeing the United States as the fulfillment of the quote in Revelation 18:23: “By your drug sorcery all the nations were led astray.”

The Governors and Rulers of Babylon will become drunk and a deep never-ending sleep will come upon them (Jer. 51:57). It could be said that the U.S.A. was once governed by men of honor and soberness and that the laws of the U.S.A. were founded by an upright constitution that treated people fairly and united the people, similar to the Torah of YHWH. However, this nation is not being governed with any kind of uprightness or concern for the welfare of the people anymore. The presidency of the United States has become a mockery both to the world as well as to its people—whether there is a Republican or Democrat in office. Its leaders and governors have become as if they were drunk, not able to think clearly about the current status of the nation. They are causing the downfall of the United States. Much corruption has infiltrated the leadership in the U.S.A. and immorality is tolerated by so-called leaders. YHWH said in Jeremiah 51:57 that the leaders of Babylon will not awaken from their everlasting sleep. This means the leadership of Babylon will be severely corrupt. It will be collapsed and ‘dead’ or ‘asleep’ until the time Babylon is wiped out. If the United States is Babylon, there is no redemption for the leadership of the country. There will be no revival at this point in the United States of America!

The people too will become as if they are drunk and asleep forever (Jer. 51:39). The Book of Jeremiah describes the people as if they too are drunk and defiled. They continue living as if they are asleep and unaware of the severe destruction coming. Is this not the description of the American people today?

Even spiritually alert people are asleep in regards to the United States being End Days Babylon and to the act of leaving.

Merchants became rich through Babylon. Much world trade is done with her (Rev. 18:11, 18:15, 18:17, 18:23). American products are distributed around the world. Many people have become rich through trade with the U.S.A. The world has used the American dollar as the primary trade currency since the early 1970s. The use of the U.S. dollar is based on the status of the U.S. as the world’s largest economy, goods importer, and military power. A thought-provoking documentary about The United States of America as the largest supplier of goods around the world was produced by a man named Tim Gielen. It is called Monopoly: Who Owns the World? Consider the names of the mega-corporations and the people who own them. They are all American! After you watch this documentary you should be convinced that the United States of America is the nation prophesied in Revelation 17 and 18.

Babylon is a nation greedy for gain (Jer. 51:13). The U.S.A. is a nation very greedy for gain, and through the petrodollar, it has been able to manipulate world currency to become richer and more powerful. How? Since 1944, the U.S. dollar has served as the world’s predominant reserve currency. It has been held in large sums in central banks around the world. The USD has been the backbone of the international monetary system and has been involved in 87% of all foreign exchange transactions. The most influential commodity on Earth is oil. Through the petrodollar, the U.S. has facilitated the trade of crude oil to the world. Although this has created stability for the market, it has also allowed the USD to remain the most powerful currency in the international market. This in turn has allowed a higher standard of living for Americans. Babylon is called the ‘Hammer of all the Earth’ (Jer. 50:23). The Hebrew word used for this title is pat’teesh (פַּטִּישׁ). This word is translated as a hammer. It comes from a root word that means to pound. From the Hebrew meaning, we get the idea that Babylon is a power of some sort that pounds and shapes the nations of the Earth. When reading Jeremiah 50:22-25, we get the sense that this hammer refers to a military tool and power. The context of this passage is war. In the description of Babylon, it is clear that Babylon was a great military power. The point of Jeremiah 50:23 is that the military power of Babylon will be broken! In modern history, what other nation has compared to the United States as a military power?

Babylon is named the “praise of all the Earth” (Jer. 51:41). The United States of America takes A LOT of pride in itself! It is also a country in which the world takes pride. Living in a foreign country, I can testify. During the U.S. presidential elections, young children in Jordan were obsessed with American politics. Many people dream of traveling to the U.S. and making a life there. Freedom and the pursuit of happiness are associated with the U.S.

The Ways End Days Babylon Will Fall and Be Destroyed

We will now look at the prophecies that tell us how End Days Babylon will fall.

Arrows will be shot at Babylon (Jer. 50:9, 50:14, 51:3, 51:11). Jeremiah emphasizes several times that End Time Babylon will be attacked via arrows. Literal arrows were an ancient way of fighting battles but are not used in modern war. Much more powerful and damaging technology is used today! In his prophecy, Jeremiah used the closest word he could to describe how End Time Babylon will be wiped out—arrows. What is the modern-day equivalent of arrows? Nuclear missiles. When flying through the air, nuclear warhead missiles look much like an arrow. End Day Babylon is going to be destroyed through nuclear war. Many missiles will be shot at her (Jer. 50:14), and they will be effective (Jer. 50:9).

Fire will destroy Babylon (Jer. 50:32, 51:32, Rev. 18:8-10). When Babylon undergoes a nuclear war and is bombed, it makes sense that she would be destroyed by fire. Nuclear attacks cause fire and smoke. Other nations will see her smoke rising and know that she has fallen. The world may see it through the internet: live reporting and social media. Nearby countries may see it live. Nuclear warheads are not the only way fires could erupt. Volcanoes, large forest fires, riots and arson, and oil or power plant explosions are all possibilities. Jeremiah described the cities set on fire and the land all around being left to burn.

The coastal cities will be flooded—large tsunamis (Jer. 51:42). Waves will cover Babylon and the sea will rise over her. A huge tsunami is likely the fulfillment of this verse. This could easily happen on the Atlantic, Pacific, or the Gulf of Mexico coastline. A tsunami could sink Hawaii and significant parts of the mainland. Torpedoes shot underwater towards the U.S.A.’s coast could result in one. Other significant disturbances of the sea, such as large-scale earthquakes, could also cause tsunamis. Remember that Yahushua said that there would be earthquakes in various places before He comes to establish His Kingdom (Matt. 24:7). Recently, I watched a film documenting the March 2011 Japan Tsunami. It is pretty scary the damage tsunamis cause and the number of lives they take. One survivor of the Japan Tsunami commented that if he had taken the warning signs more seriously, his family would likely have been saved. The warning signs YHWH gives concerning Babylon should be taken very seriously!

Babylon will be unable to defend itself and its weapons will be ‘broken’ (Jer. 51:56). The United States of America will be unable to defend itself in World War III. Although the U.S. was, and still is to some degree, the most dominant military power in the world, many choices in recent history have significantly weakened its ability to defend itself in a war. The decision to send tons of artillery to Ukraine during the Russia-Ukraine War has caused the U.S. and other NATO countries to be depleted of their weapons. The following is a quote from an article titled, RUNNING OUT: Ukraine blowing through more ammo than NATO, U.S. can manufacture and provide.

When Biden’s handlers decided to pick a side and supply American weapons to one of the most corrupt governments on the planet in its war against Russia, they did so without stopping to think about how that decision would negatively impact our offensive and defensive military capabilities, and at a time when China is just waiting for the right moment to invade Taiwan.

The situation in Ukraine is making it obvious that the U.S. is handing over its supply of weapons and weakening its arsenal. Over the last year, there have been many news reports that have expressed concern that the U.S. is depleting its military supplies. YHWH will ‘break’ all Babylon’s weapons of war so that she cannot defend herself. Babylon will not be able to retaliate.

The military will cease to fight and will become like women (Jer. 51:30). Soldiers will be startled (Jer. 51:32) and be killed in the streets (Jer. 50:30). Jeremiah described the attack on Babylon as a surprise. Because the soldiers will be caught off guard, they will die in the streets. The military personnel is also prophesied to become “like women.” This could mean that they lack the heart to fight. Further, in recent years, there has been a major focus on bringing the LGBT agenda into the U.S. military. Perhaps this is what Jeremiah was describing. Also, women have served in the U.S. military for many years, on the front lines. With a military that consists of women soldiers, sexually deceived people, and startled soldiers, the U.S. could fit this description.

Ground troops will invade Babylon (Jer. 51:14). An ambush will be planned against Babylon (Jer. 51:12). She will be surrounded (Jer. 50:26). Babylon will be captured and plundered (Jer. 50:9-10, 50:37). The sword will go through the land (Isa. 13:15, Jer. 50:34-38, 51:50). The word ‘sword’ is used to describe the weapon used in combat which occurs on the ground, not from the air. This means that ground fighting is prophesied. The people left in Babylon will be slain and few will escape (Jer. 50:29, 50:35-37, 51:4, 51:47). Now picture the United States as the fulfillment of End Days Babylon. If so, there will be an attack on U.S. soil. Foreign troops will surround the nation on every side and will overtake the people—plundering and ravaging, capturing prisoners of war, killing, and performing unimaginable evils. For those who do escape the sword, YHWH commands them to remember Him from afar; in other words, those who escape are to remember YHWH’s instructions for coming out of Babylon.

Women will be ravished (Isa. 13:16). The children will be killed in horrible ways (Isa. 13:16,18). Another passage that prophesies the Fall of Babylon in the End Days is Isaiah chapter 13. We are warned that armies will plunder houses, ravish women, and slay the children. This attack will be very personal, affecting what we care about the most—our homes, our spouses, and of course our children! The nations that attack Babylon will not be compassionate toward children but will kill them so that their parents will witness this horror. Men will be helpless to defend their families. Perhaps the most brutal and violent invasions in history will occur on U.S. soil. This war will affect more than just the men who fight. In the case of Babylon being invaded, families will be torn apart and many people will see their loved ones die brutal deaths.

Severe famine (Rev. 18:8) and drought (Jer. 51:36) will devastate Babylon. Food production will cease in Babylon (Jer. 50:16). End Time Babylon will cease to be able to produce food for its country and other countries. Food will be very scarce and people will starve. We are seeing this unfold in the U.S. today. The government is forcing farmers to destroy their crops; farm animals are suddenly dying in massive amounts. GMOs have plagued the food supply, and now, even mRNA injections are being put into food. All these acts and more are a part of the intentional plan to destroy the U.S. food supply, not just for itself but for many other countries as well. If the United States ceases food production and trade with other countries, those countries will become much less dependent on her. If people are dying from starvation, the U.S. will not be able to withstand the pressure of the world war.

The Fall of Babylon will be very quick and sudden (Jer. 51: 8, Rev. 18:8, 18:21). All trade and production in Babylon will cease (Rev. 18:11-14, 18:22-23). The nations will witness and mourn the economic collapse of Babylon (Rev. 18:15). Merchants around the world will be devastated. When Babylon falls, we will know with full certainty which nation was prophesied as End Days Babylon. We all will remember the day that ‘Babylon’ was hit by nuclear bombs and invaded. Revelation chapter 18 says Babylon’s plagues will be brought upon her in ‘one day.’

The land of End Time Babylon will never again be inhabited (Isa. 13:20, Jer. 50:3, 50:39-40, 51:29, 51:43, 51:62). Babylon will NEVER rise again (Jer. 51:64, Rev. 18:21). If someone is holding on to the hope that the U.S.A. will somehow be restored in the Last Days, it is a false hope and the opposite of what the Word of YHWH teaches. After the destruction of the U.S. via war and many other terrible plagues, the nation will never rise again; also, the cities will never be inhabited again. Even during Yahushua’s One Thousand Year Reign when He restores all, the people of the Earth will not live on American soil as we know it. If you look up the verses listed above, you will see that the Scriptures communicate that ‘no one’ will dwell in this land. Why does YHWH make this point so many times in Scripture?

The Role of End Days Media to Destroy Babylon

Just as there is an End Days nation that will fulfill the prophecy in Scripture regarding Babylon, there is a nation prophesied to destroy Babylon. The Scriptures call that nation ‘Media.’ Indentifying End Days Media teaches us more about what will occur when Babylon falls.

Jeremiah 51:11 Polish the arrows! Put on the shields! YHWH has stirred up the spirit of the sovereigns of the Medes. For His plan is against Babel to destroy it, because it is the vengeance of YHWH, the vengeance for His Hekal [Temple].

Jeremiah 51:28 Separate the nations against her, with the sovereigns of the Medes, its governors, and all its rulers, all the land of his rule, so that the land shakes and writhes in pain. For every plan of YHWH shall be established against Babel, to make the land of Babel a ruin, without inhabitant.

Below are some clues to help us understand End Days Media:

End Days Media will be a nation from the north (Jer. 50:3, 50:9, 50:41, 51:48). If you look on any map, you can’t get any further north than the regions of Canada, Greenland, and Russia. Canada is to the north of the United States. However, it is not likely that Canada is currently spearheading a war against the U.S. It is also very unlikely that Greenland, a part of the Kingdom of Denmark, is heading an attack on the U.S.A. This leaves Russia as the number one possibility for being the End Days fulfillment of the nation from the north waging war against Babylon. Russia is the one, out of the three listed, that currently has the ability, motivation, and provocation to attack and destroy the U.S.A.

Media is the leading nation in the destruction of Babylon (Jer. 51:11, 51:28). Other nations will assist Media in the attack (Jer. 51:27-28, Rev. 17:16-17). There is a nation that is going to lead the nuclear attack against Babylon. Additionally, other nations will support Media in destroying Babylon. In Revelation 17, the ‘whore’ representing Babylon is destroyed by a group of nations. These nations once worked in partnership with Babylon but will turn on her. The question to consider is what nations are working together to destroy the U.S.A.? Russia and China sure seem to be working closely together for a nuclear and ground military attack. Even the current administration of the U.S. seems to be playing into their plans. Ukraine is accepting weapons from the U.S., which weakens its arsenal. Saudi Arabia is in on the plan to abandon the petrodollar, which will play a role in destroying the U.S. economy. To be honest, my head is spinning thinking of examples of how countries are working to destroy the U.S.A.!

Media is a nation with many ‘arrows,’ preparing for an attack against Babylon (Jer. 50:9, 50:14, 51:3, 51:11). Prophecy reveals that End Days Media will have a large supply of arrows to shoot at Babylon. As stated above, the arrows likely represent nuclear missiles. Which nation today is the world’s largest nuclear power? Russia by far has the most developed and destructive nuclear technology. Russia is estimated to hold the biggest stockpile of nuclear warheads in the world; the United States has the second largest. According to an article on fas.org called Status of World Nuclear Forces,

“Approximately 90 percent of all nuclear warheads are owned by Russia and the United States, who each have around 4,000 warheads in their military stockpiles; no other nuclear-armed state sees a need for more than a few hundred nuclear weapons for national security.”

The other countries that are said to have a supply of nuclear warheads are China, India, North Korea, Pakistan, and the United Kingdom; these are said to be increasing their stockpile. Israel and France are said to be stabilized in their supply. However, the U.S. is the only country that is reducing its stockpile. Russia and the United States have long been planning the biggest nuclear war in history!

Based on the description given in Scripture and many current world events, it is plausible to say that RUSSIA will be the End Days fulfillment of Media.

With all these world events unfolding, it is becoming easier to match what YHWH’s Word foretold with the current reality. We are seeing the fulfillment of what the Scriptures prophesied concerning the days in which we are living. Many terrible events are happening, and it will only get worse. What we read in Scripture should cause us to fear. That fear is not a bad thing if it motivates us to heed YHWH’s warning and spare our lives.

The Timing of the Ingathering Related to the Fall of Babylon

At the beginning of this teaching, I shared that the message to flee Babylon is a joyful one because this is the time YHWH will redeem His People (Isa. 48:20). In other words, it is the time YHWH will gather the elect. Some call this the Ingathering, some the Second Exodus. Regardless of the title, YHWH will redeem His servants from the ends of the Earth when Babylon falls. We will now look at the timing of the Ingathering, the command to flee, and the reward of End Days’ salvation.

Jeremiah 50:33 Thus said YHWH of hosts, “The children of Yisra’el were oppressed, along with the children of Yehudah. And all who took them captive have held them fast, they refused to let them go.”

Jeremiah 50:34 “Their Redeemer is strong, YHWH of hosts is His Name. He shall strongly plead their case, so as to give rest to the land, but unrest to the inhabitants of Babel.”

Next, we will look in Scripture at the history of ancient Babylon as it relates to the nation of Israel; this is not to be confused with modern-day Babylon. History gives us a clue about the timing of the Return of YHWH’s people. Below is a very brief summary of the role ancient Babylon played in restoring Yah’s people to their Land.

YHWH promised the House of Israel that if they obeyed His commandments, and followed His statutes, they would reap all the benefits of the Torah. They would stay in the Land, with no one to frighten or conquer them (Lev. 26:6-8, Deut. 28:10).
The House of Israel did not obey. They went astray with all kinds of idolatry and asked for an earthly king to rule over them (1 Sam. 8:5-7).
The House of Israel split into two kingdoms—the Northern Kingdom and the Southern Kingdom (1 Kings 11:31-35). Both were eventually run by evil kings, and the people committed many abominations against YHWH.
The message of the prophets was to turn all the people back to YHWH. If they returned to Him, He would turn back to them (Zech. 1:3-4). Unfortunately, most people did not repent.
YHWH sent prophets like Jeremiah and Ezekiel to prophesy about a nation that would make desolate the land, kill the people, burn the Temple of YHWH, and take many, many people captive. The nation that fulfilled this captivity was Babylon. (For the First, Second, and Third Captivity to Babylon, see 2 Kings 24:1-4, Dan. 1:1-7, 2 Kings 24:10-16, Ezek. 1:1-2, 2 Kings 24:18-20, 2 Chron. 36:17-21, and Jer. 52:1-13.)

Why is this history important? Just as the ancient nation of Babylon held many of Yah’s people captive, End Days Babylon also holds many of His people captive. Just as the nation of Media overtook Babylon, End Days Media will play a similar role.

Here is a key to understanding the timing of the return of YHWH’s people in the End Days. While they were in captivity, the nation of Israel did not return under the Babylonian Empire. The Babylonian empire was succeeded by the Medes and the Persians. It was during the period of the Persians and the Medes that YHWH’s people returned to Him.

Daniel prayed and repented for His people during the reign of the Medes (Dan. 9:1-2). An angel told Daniel what would happen concerning the restoration.
During the reign of Koresh, king of Persia, Ezra the scribe led a return (Ezra chapter 1, 2Chronicles 36:22-23).

Not every aspect of history will repeat itself in the future, yet one thing is clear. Scripture teaches that YHWH’s people will return in the End Days at the attack of Media on Babylon.

Jeremiah 50:3 For a nation shall come up against her from the north, which shall make her land waste, and none shall dwell in it. They shall flee, they shall go, both man and beast.

Jeremiah 50:4-5 “In those days and at that time,” declares YHWH, “the children of Yisrael shall come, they and the children of Yehudah together, weeping as they come, and seek YHWH their Elohim. They shall ask the way to Tsiyon, their faces toward it, ‘Come and let us join ourselves to YHWH, in an everlasting covenant, never to be forgotten.’ ”

YHWH’s people will come out of Babylon by physically leaving. The Fall of Babylon will ignite the Ingathering!

Unfortunately, most people will not simply follow Yah’s instructions to leave Babylon before her judgment comes. It will take a huge calamity—the Fall of Babylon—for most to flee.

When Jeremiah says ‘in those days,’ the context is the days of Babylon’s destruction. The good news in this story is that ‘at that time’ Yah’s people will return to Him and follow where His Word commands for their deliverance.

YHWH’s people around the world—whether they are in the United States or any other country—will desperately seek Him at the Fall of Babylon. When Yah’s people sincerely seek Him for their salvation, He will lead them to His place of protection.

The Command to Flee Babylon and the Reward of End Days Salvation

Regarding Babylon, YHWH exhorts His people to do the following:

Come out of Babylon
Flee from the Kasdim (the Kasdim or Chaldeans are the people of Babylon)
Flee from the midst of Babylon
Come out of the ‘land’
Let each one save his/her life
Do not be cut off because of the iniquity of Babylon
Let each one deliver his/her being from the burning
Come out of Babylon lest you share in her sins
Come out lest you receive of her plagues

Consider the following verses.

Jeremiah 50:8 Flee from the midst of Babel, come out of the land of the Kasdim. And be as rams before a flock.

Jeremiah 51:6 Flee from the midst of Babel, and let each one save his life! Do not be cut off in her crookedness, for this is the time of the vengeance of YHWH, the recompense He is repaying her.

Jeremiah 51:45 Come out of her midst, My people! And let everyone deliver his being from the burning displeasure of YHWH.

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from the heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.”

To fully obey the command to come out of Babylon, we have to know what it is that we are coming out of.

A popular belief regarding the prophecies about Babylon is that Babylon is spiritual. It is true. Babylon is a spirit of confusion that has infiltrated the whole world. One of my favorite books is Come Out of Her My People by C. J. Koster. This book shows which elements of ancient pagan worship have been adopted in religions today and how Babylonian ideas and practices of false worship are still alive. The book calls on believers to rediscover their true faith in the Scriptures and to come out of the confusion left by our ancestors. The Babylonian spirit is alive in many ways, and Yah’s people need to abandon these ways. However, the book does not address one of the most vital issues—the physical and literal part of coming out of Babylon.

End Days Babylon is not just a spiritual idea for us to leave. It is a literal nation too! We are told to flee the ‘land’ and we are told to flee the people as well. The entity described in Jeremiah and Revelation is a nation that will receive literal plagues and judgments.

Another popular belief is that the prophecy about Babylon has already been fulfilled. Some suppose Jeremiah was simply prophesying the fall of the ancient Babylonian empire. One problem with this belief is that the book of Revelation was written far after the ancient nation of Babylon was destroyed. Yet, Revelation still warns us to come out of a nation that exists in the End Days. This nation has strong connections to the ‘beast’ system of a one-world government that arises in the End Days. Jeremiah states that once Babylon falls, the land of this nation will never be inhabited again. Ancient Babylon occupied land in the location of many Middle Eastern countries today. People inhabit those areas. Some of the descriptions in Jeremiah and Revelation show that many parts of the prophecies regarding Babylon have not been fulfilled.

The Babylon Empire has risen on a few occasions in history. Consider Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and Daniel’s interpretation in Daniel 2. Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, saw a vision of an image representing the world powers that would come before the reign of Messiah. The head of the image represented Nebuchadnezzar’s reign at that time. The parts of the image below the head represented other world powers that resembled the Babylonian Empire. The last part, the feet of the image, represented the evil world power that would come before the reign of Yahushua Messiah on Earth. In the vision, that last reign was destroyed and Yahushua’s Kingdom was prophesied to be established forever.

The point is End Days Babylon will be similar in some respects to other empires that rose to dominate the world. The thing that makes End Days Babylon unique is that once destroyed, the Babylonian empire will never again be rebuilt. However, the Babylonian spirit is alive in ALL other nations. They too will be judged. Once the United States falls, all other countries will soon follow. Jeremiah prophesied that YHWH will make a complete end of all nations (Jer. 30:11), but He will spare a remnant of His people!

If someone believes that the United States is Babylon, the question now becomes when do I leave Babylon? Scriptures indicate that waiting until the Fall of Babylon would more likely result in death than escape. Even if a person is blessed enough to escape at that time, it is unlikely that they will be leaving with their household. In their journey to flee, survivors would probably suffer the loss of close family and friends. If someone wants to leave Babylon as the Scripture commands, they should do it before it is attacked. In other words, if someone has the understanding that the United States is Babylon, they should leave now.

Once Babylon falls, there will be a lot of chaos in the world making it difficult for anyone anywhere to flee to the safe place. As told by our Messiah, it will be the hardest time in history with unimaginable horrors. For this reason, I would highly encourage those who have an understanding of the days we are living in to flee from the nations and relocate to the safe place in the country in Jordan. Time is running out. There is no time to delay acting on this message.

I recognize that there is fear in giving up one’s life and fleeing to another country. My family faced the same fear and uncertainty when we left our homeland. However, we recalled Yahushua’s words:

Luke 9:24-26 “For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake shall save it. For what is a man profited if he gains all the world, and is himself destroyed or lost? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him, the Son of Adam shall be ashamed when He comes in His esteem, and in His Father’s, and of the set-apart messengers.”

For those who obey the command to leave, the reward is End Days salvation!

Another important promise that gives us hope is the following:

Mark 10:29-30 Yahushua said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for the sake of Me and the Good News, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come, everlasting life.”

As for me, I am thankful that YHWH led our family to Jordan seven years ago. As we study, we are continually shedding the ways of Babylon and conforming to the truth of Scripture. This journey is joyous! Not only will we be spared of the plagues of Babylon, but we’re joyfully preparing to see our Bridegroom.

I understand that the Fall of Babylon will be severe. However, I am thankful that this event will bring about the return of YHWH’s people. May we, the ones alive in the End Days, heed YHWH’s Word! May we be found worthy to escape all that is about to take place!
